01. A new and radiant day has dawned. The Sun gives strength. He offers abundance and vitality. He signifies health and invigoration, clarity, and confidence, all without ego. This is the card of attainment and fulfillment. The Sun warms all it touches. Yet he also demands that success is to be shared and that all rewards be distributed equally. He is the clarion call of victory over darkness, of our emergence into the light. He is the source of power and energy, the fuel that drives divine will.

02. Under the Sun, everything becomes simple, joyous, and physical. The light of the unconscious is brought into daily life. The sunstruck person feels a sense of wisdom, of seeing everything with total clarity. Enlightenment is an experience. The person feels struck by a burst of light, suddenly the world is seen or felt, as spiritual and eternal, rather than the day-to-day existence of drudgery and confusion. The Sun experience was essentially a burst of freedom. It was a breaking loose, a wonderful liberation from ordinary restricted consciousness to openness and freedom.

When you see The Sun Reversed in your Tarot reading, see it as your permission to leave behind your work and responsibilities, even just for a moment, and play. 07. The Sun Reversed can mean you are struggling to see the bright side of life. You may experience certain setbacks which are damaging your optimism and enthusiasm. You may feel depressed or left out and are no longer enjoying what you are doing. Your direction and path ahead may appear clouded or distorted. Nonetheless, this is only temporary. The obstacles you see can be easily removed if you put your mind to it.

08. On the other hand, you may be too confident or overly optimistic. You may have become unrealistic, egotistical and out of touch with what you can achieve. There are things that you need to take into account in order to ensure that you are on the right track and your successes continue as they do.
