You are diving further and deeper into the darker realms of the soul.
You have heard the call of the unknown.
Pay attention now to the voice of your heart.
Scrutinize the offers of assistance and guidance you receive.
The veil of illusion yields to the light as you recognize them for what they are.
What inner regions feel strange, alien and unknown to you?
Where are your blind spots?
What experiences are you most afraid of?
I have the discernment to recognize my true path toward higher consciousness.
It’s always the darkest just before dawn.

01. The Moon’s soft light reveals hidden truths, verities in dire need of discovery. She offers clarity, but only if there is a willingness to go deeply within. She insists that intuition, rather than rationale, be our guide through the inner shadows. She demands the release of the negative, and expects of us constructive and steady transformation. She reminds us to be aware of the difference between illusion and reality. The Moon itself symbolizes dreams, intuition, and the watery subconscious of the cosmic feminine. She asks us always to connect with the divine, the worlds beyond the veil, and to learn from nature, from the lessons in the cycle of waxing and waning.
02. We sense something of the Moon’s wildness in the aftermath of a nightmare, when we feel strange within ourselves. Dreams are transformations of unconscious energy into images. A burst of energy which is too great for the dream mechanisms to peacefully assimilate can result in both a nightmare and the feeling when you wake up of the body being charged with wild energy. The deepest terrors are the ones that never fully take shape. We feel something inside, but we can never see just what it is.

03. The Moon represents your fears and illusions and often comes out when you are projecting fear into your present and your future, based on your past experiences. You may have a painful memory that caused emotional distress, and rather than dealing with the emotions you pushed them down deep into your subconscious. Now, these emotions are making a reappearance, and you may find yourself under their influence on a conscious or subconscious level. To remedy this, connect with your unconscious mind and release any fears or anxieties holding you back. These deep memories and fears must be let go, and the negative energies must be released and turned into something constructive.
04. The Moon can indicate a time of uncertainty and illusion, when nothing is what it seems. Some hidden truth must be discovered, for what you are seeing now may just be a trick of the light. You must search for the hidden forces that must be unraveled. Be careful of making fast decisions, because you may later realize you only had half the information you needed. You need to listen to your heart so you can see beyond what is in front of you. Feel into situations rather than thinking what they mean. Let go of your conscious mental blocks or negative self-talk and allow your intuition to guide you. Your dreams, intuitions and inner guidance lead you forward toward higher levels of understanding if you listen and use your judgement to help interpret the messages of the unconscious.

05. The Moon indicates an excitement of the unconscious. We begin to experience strange emotions, dreams, fears, even hallucinations. We find ourselves more intuitive, more psychic. When accepted, the imagination enriches life. The Moon indicates turning away from outer concerns and becoming introspective. It can indicate giving up some specific activity or simply a period of withdrawal. It can indicate a psychic awakening and the need to pay attention to it. Whereas the High Priestess symbolizes quiet intuition, the Moon is excited, stimulating images from the unconscious.

07. On the other hand, you may try to bury these feelings even deeper within your subconscious so you can avoid your dark shadows. You may not be ready to face your emotions, pushing them to the side and pretending as if nothing is wrong. If we allow ourselves to experience it, the fears will turn to wonders and the gateways open to adventure.
08. The Moon Reversed can also show that you are receiving intuitive messages and psychic downloads but the message may be confusing. When The Moon is reversed, you are being called to listen to your inner voice, and not the voice of someone else. Trust that the answers you need are already within you, and tune in to your inner guidance system to hear those answers. Pay attention to your dreams because this is how many of your unconscious messages will be relayed to you.
